Future Projection of Immersive Spaces
What is an immersive space? Well, it could be anything, anything that satisfies your senses from a cinema to a well arranged lounge with some super cool lighting.
Immersive is a very broad term, but immersive technology spells out a very defined field. XR. Extended Reality.
The growing need is that immersive technology is going to change the way we interface with digital information and the plethora of digital assets that exist- and scarily those that don’t exist yet…..
In a post pandemic world particularly, it became very apparent that our office spaces are not as effective as we all thought, they only really bring us together and let us work as a team.
The workplace of the future doesn’t look like an office full of computers. It looks like a space fitted with a variety of collaborative technologies, relaxed spaces and (probably) still a lot of desk space. But we will interact, engage and experience immersive rooms as teams, we will consume VR, together, we will interact digitally using our senses, allowing us to employ our senses for productivity , other related efficiencies, and savings across the board.
That’s why the need is growing, that’s why immersive workspaces, be it through projection or virtual technologies are rapidly growing into workplaces and why those who move first will be leading the charge. Projection, headsets, mobiles, desktops and even a 3D TV. They can all be immersive, but some are far more immersive than others.
They are all gateway technologies, display technologies, portholes to the digital universe, they just offer different perspective and different ways to interact with them immersively. Ultimately most workplaces, spaces and homes will combine them all.
